1. Who we are & these terms

theulteriormotives.com (the "site") is operated by The Ulterior Motives ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. Contact: shout@theulteriormotives.com.

2. Using the site

You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to: misuse or disrupt the site or its security; attempt to access areas you're not authorised to; scrape or harvest data; or copy, redistribute or resell our content except as allowed below.

3. Our content & intellectual property

All content on the site - including the band name, logo, artwork, photographs, music, audio, video and text - is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view and share links to it, but you may not copy, download (except where a download is expressly sold or offered), reproduce, rip, re-record, redistribute or use it commercially without our written permission. Audio previews are provided for streaming only.

4. Your mailing-list signup

When you join our list you consent to receive the emails described at signup. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email. How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

5. Enquiries & submissions

If you send us content (e.g. a booking enquiry or message), you confirm it's yours to send and you grant us a licence to use it for the purpose you sent it. Don't send anything unlawful, infringing or offensive.

6. Availability & links

We aim to keep the site available but can't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or suspend features. The site may link to third-party sites (e.g. social media) which we don't control and aren't responsible for.

7. Store - orders & prices

Products (music, downloads, CDs, merch) are described on their product pages. Prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable; delivery costs are shown at checkout. We may correct obvious pricing errors. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email (or make a digital download available), not before.

8. Store - payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We don't store your full card details. By ordering you confirm you're authorised to use the payment method.

9. Store - delivery, cancellations & returns

Physical goods: we aim to dispatch within 3-5 business days (pre-orders ship on release); delivery times and costs are shown at checkout. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you generally have 14 days to cancel an unused physical item for a refund; return postage is paid by you unless the item is faulty. Faulty goods are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Pre-orders: the expected dispatch/release window is shown at purchase; we'll tell you of any significant delays.
Digital downloads: by starting a download immediately you agree you lose the 14-day cancellation right once delivery has begun (as the law allows for digital content). Digital purchases are non-refundable once accessed, except where faulty.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything that can't be excluded by law. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability relating to the site or an order is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order. These terms don't affect your statutory consumer rights.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you're a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you keep the protection of your local mandatory laws.

12. Changes

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
